It's always important to reflect on and learn from our work. We should also learn from each other and from the communities we work with.

Information and Communications Technology

Good decisions in emergency situations require the right information, which in turn requires appropriate technology to gather, analyze and disseminate information. Information and Communications Technology (ICT) tools and the skills to use them are critical to the effectiveness of emergency response. Often, however, ICT challenges hamper efforts to respond effectively to emergencies. In ECB Phase I, we conducted a major Assessment of how information is managed in emergency responses, and then developed a portfolio of projects to build capacity in this area.

The major outputs from ECB's ICT work in Phase I of the Project are listed below. Click on the links to learn more and access resources.

In ECB Phase II, ICT will no longer be a core cross-cutting initiative focus. Management of the ICT resources and platforms have been handed over to NetHope, please contact Nethope directly for further information and support.
