These films are for you to download or watch online. You will have the option to view with or without subtitles for ENGLISH only. There are different video file formats to download to your computer, watch online or save as a DVD (please read to the end for more instructions).
You can either view the film as one complete film “full ECB Accountability film” or download the same film, with additional case study examples, in seven short “training modules” e.g. Section 1 Involve People”. The long or short film sections can be used in inductions, trainings or at the start of an emergency program activity or event.
Key audience:- Senior managers of national and international NGOs, such as Country Programme Managers, field staff of national or international NGOs responsible for implementing projects at field level
Suggested uses:
- As part of induction or a briefing on accountability
- For discussion in fora such as inter-agency networks or regional meetings
- As part of a workshop or training on accountability
- For discussion in a team meeting or similar
Downloading the Films
These are large files and to download the "Full Accountability Film" you will need to have a good internet connection. If your internet connection is unstable we recommend that you start downloading one of the seven modules to test your connection before trying the "Full Accountability Film" . If you have problems with downloading the "Full Accountability Film" then we recommend using the seven Sections and download each film individually when you have a good stable internet connection.
Remember you can always show the films directly from your computer or laptop if you have wi-fi or internet network cables in your office. Click on the Watch on YouTube or Vimeo option in each film box above.
"DVD version" - downloading to create a DVD
You will need both the Video (M2V) file and the Audio (AC3) file from the film box to save a DVD copy. If you do not download both you will be missing either the images or the sound for your new DVD.
Translating or subtitling the films
You can voiceover (translate) or subtitle the films into other languages if required. Please remember this can be costly / expensive, so check you have the resources before starting this work.
