ENHAnce – Expanding National Humanitarian Ability - is an ECB Project initiative to build the humanitarian capacity of national staff, replicating the programmes piloted by the Consortium of British Humanitarian Agencies (CBHA).

ENHAnce aims to:

  • Develop core humanitarian skills and leadership competenciesof existing staff at national level
  • Build a network of humanitarians who can work effectivelytogether to improve overall speed and quality of response for disaster affected people.

Two separate programmes are being run, both starting in early 2012.

The Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) is taking place this week in Geneva, Switzerland. The Fourth session of the platform, which is held every two years, provides a forum for information exchange, discussion about latest developments and knowledge and partnership building across sectors.
