ECB Bangladesh Emergency Response Protocol tested in multi-agency simulation
Published on 16 September 2011
Sixteen participants from eight agencies came together in Dhaka this week in order to test the consortium’s Emergency Response Protocol through a multi-agency simulation. The event lasted a day and a half and was well received by participants. The simulation enabled the consortia to make some major reviews to the protocols, including removing the aspiration for joint ECB operational responses, and instead focussing on the niche of improving coordinated (and joint) needs assessment, improving accountability in emergencies, sharing and capturing learning in emergencies and joint humanitarian advocacy.
Simulation exercises are very important to the work of the ECB Project – find out more about emergency simulations and the role they play in humanitarian work by clicking here or contact us.
