Bangladesh consortium simulation dates agreed
Published on 1 July 2011
The Bangladesh consortium has fixed the dates for their simulation to be held on the 14-15 September. The purpose of this simulation will be to test out the draft Disaster Response Engagement Protocols that have been negotiated between focal points. Based on a similar model to those developed in Indonesia, these protocols provide a pre-negotiated agreement between agencies as to the scope, extent and limits of their collaboration in future emergencies. The simulation will provide an opportunity to test the protocols, and highlight any gaps for revision. Save the Children will be supporting the facilitation of this, with their ECB Agency Manager and Accountability and Impact Measurement (AIM) Advisor likely to attend and support the facilitation.
