ECB article in Humanitarian Exchange magazine

ECB article in Humanitarian Exchange magazine

"Humanitarian Exchange" is the regular journal of the Humanitarian Practice Network, one of ECB's partners.

    Published on 16 May 2011

The April edition of Humanitarian Exchange includes an article on ‘NGO–government partnerships for disaster preparedness in Bangladesh’, co-authored by Md. Harun Or Rashid and Kaiser Rejve from the ECB consortium in Bangladesh, and Matt Bannerman from the ECB global project team. The article describes and draws lessons from the evolving partnership between the Comprehensive Disaster Management Program (CDMP) and the ECB consortium in Bangladesh, and sets this in the context of governments across the world become more active and assertive in taking control of ‘their’ emergencies and in managing the risks that their populations face.
