Niger coordinate their first inter-agency Simulations
Published on 1 February 2011
The ECB Niger consortium organized their first inter-agency coordination over two days with the support of facilitation team led by Richard Jacquot, ECB Mercy Corps Agency Manager, and Lucien Simba from UNOCHA. Using the ECB Simulations Guide, the staff from across five agencies worked through response activities following a flood and food crisis alert.
The teams learnt about the challenges of coordination under pressure, the importance of leadership and communications, and the value of learning from colleagues in different agencies. Niger plan to hold a second Simulations at the end of 2011.
