Niger Consortium data collection for Joint Needs Assessment

ECB agencies in the Niger Consortium have completed the data collection component of the Joint Needs Assessment (JNA) which is currently ongoing in food insecure areas of the country.
Data inputting is being undertaken this week and a final JNA report is expected shortly afterwards.
The JNA is benefitting from technical collaboration with an Assessment Capacities Project (ACAPS) representative who is currently in country and supporting the process. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), World Food Programme (WFP) and Government officials are also supportive.
