Bangladesh Joint Needs Assessment Reports Published
Published on 24 January 2012
The ECB Project in collaboration with The Assessment Capacities Project (ACAPS) has published a range of new Joint Needs Assessment (JNA) reports on the emergency situation in Bangladesh.
These include:
- Secondary Data Review July-August 2011 which focuses specifically on the impact of the water logging in Khulna, Satkhira and Jessore Districts.
- Coordinated Assessment Report on Flooding & Prolonged Water-logging in South West Bangladesh.
- Lessons Learned from the multi-agency, multi-sector assessment of water-logging in South-west Bangladesh.
- Scoping Study on Coordinated Approaches to Needs Assessments in Bangladesh.
The reports present a thorough picture of the situation in Bangladesh, making important observations. For example, that relief distributions at the time of data collection were under-coordinated, inconsistent and had generally targeted easier-to-reach areas.
