    Southern Bangladesh severely affected by flooding

    25 August 2011: Southern Bangladesh severely affected by flooding

    Heavy monsoon rains have severely affected three basin areas across southern Bangladesh. The Brahmaputra, Ganges and Meghna Basins have rising river levels measuring as much as 85cm above danger levels in Jessore district and 155cm in Netrokona district*. ECB agencies are meeting regularily to plan a joint needs assessment (JNA) and secondary data review in partnership with ACAPS. Read more

    Representatives of the Bolivia consortium will visit Bangladesh from September 12th - 17th as part of a learning exchange, the first to have been conducted between the two consortia. Read more
