29 July 2011: Quality & Accountability critical during the Horn of Africa Crisis
The Quality & Accountability network (lead by ALNAP, Humanitarian Accountability Partnership (HAP), People in Aid and the Sphere Project ) have disseminated a joint statement calling for program quality, accountability and effectiveness in the humanitarian response to the Horn of Africa crisis. Latest discussions include a joint training for humanitarian staff on accountability standards, tools, lessons and best practice are under consideration. Read more

The five ECB consortia have completed their year 4 Consortium Engagement Plans (CEPs), detailing the activities that will be carried out in each consortium with regard to the key themes of the ECB Project. Read more

The ECB Simulation Reference Group held its first telecom of 2011 this week to begin planning for the next series of CBHA Simulations due to take place between November 2011 and February 2012. Read more
