16 November 2010: CBHA Core Humanitarian Competency Framework
Building on the seminal work of the ECB Project in 2006-7, led by ELRHA, the Consortium of British Humanitarian Agencies (CBHA) has launched two new frameworks focusing on core competencies and leadership behaviours for humanitarian response. These frameworks will inspire a a new training curriculum that will be piloted in ECB consortia countries next year. Read more

16 November 2010: Evaluating the Haitian response together
Using a new participatory methodology, CARE and Save the Children in Haiti recently conducted a Joint Evaluation of their humanitarian response. The team faced several challenges early in the process, but once 30 national staff were leading focus group discussions, powerful inter-agency collaboration ensued. This experience contributes to a growing body of knowledge on Joint Evaluations. Read more
