WWF (World Wildlife Fund) together with the American Red Cross recognizes the importance of integrating environmentally sustainable considerations when reconstructing disaster-affected communities. Drawing on its work following the 2004 Asian Tsunami, the WWF has produced a Green Recovery & Reconstruction Training Toolkit which outlines practical techniques to integrate environmental sustainability with recovery and reconstruction following disasters.
