Mercy Corps

MercyCorps logoMercy Corps is a team of 3700 professionals helping turn crisis into opportunity for millions around the world. Mercy Corps focuses on emergency relief and local entrepreneurship, and has offices in over 30 countries.

Mercy Corps is measuring their progress against all result statements outlined in Phase II, and have outlined four key objectives:

  1. Demonstrate extraordinary results and leadership in transitional and fragile environments through high quality, high impact programming.
  2. Respond to three of the principal global challenges to global peace and prosperity with innovative and effective solutions in both rural and urban communities: the economic and food crises, the impact of climate change, and the exponentially growing youth population in the developing world who need hope for a better future.
  3. Deepen and strengthen systems and mechanisms that enable quality programming as we consider significant growth of complex programs in insecure environments.
  4. Strengthen and invest in Mercy Corps' leadership development and culture.

Richard Jacquot is Mercy Corps' dynamic Agency Manager. Richard leads on ECB's Simulations program and has facilitated inter-agency Simulations in five ECB countries.  Anne Castleton manages the DRRI-Water program which focuses on developing water-focused innovations in disaster risk reduction programming.
