Consortia staff
Zahairou Mamane Sani, ECB Niger Field Facilitator
Zahairou Mamane Sani started as the ECB Niger Consortium's Field Facilitator in October 2011. Zahairou has vocational training in administration and has worked with CARE in Niger since 2002 as the sub office administrator. Prior to CA his association with CARE, he was a civil servant and worked for the Ministry of the Interior in Niger. Zahairou played an important role in helping to plan and run the recent ECBinter-active event in Niamey.
ECB is more than a project – it is a school where you learn about the humanitarian world in all its diversity. It puts you in contact with others so that you can benefit from their experience, which makes learning easier. ECB’s efforts in bringing together seven humanitarian agencies, based in Niger, in order to face the challenges posed by humanitarian response will make a huge impact in the years ahead.
Wahyu Widayanto, ECB Indonesia Field Facilitator
Since June 2010, Wahyu manages the activities of the ECB Indonesia consortium as outlined in the Consortium Engagement Plan (CEP). Wahyu also facilitates the regular management meetings and discussions for new mem. He has organized several events including the Joint Need Assessment (JNA) training and testing, coordination for small-scale disaster responses in Mentawai and Merapi, the final completion of the new Disaster Response Engagement Protocol (DREP) for Indonesia.
This job is for me a new experience and challenge especially in how to coordinate good communication and coordination among the agencies and partners.
Massimo Nicoletti Altimari, ECB Horn of Africa Field Facilitator
Massimo is the Field Facilitator for ECB's only regional body. Massimo has ten years experience in the humanitarian world and has just joined the ECB family where, together with consortium members from the four countries and IAWG partners he is analyzing ways to improve collaboration/partnerships with the aim to use the full potential of the project in order to achieve the goals set.
I joined the ECB because of the possibility it offers to make a lasting change in the humanitarian world.
Ingrid Terrazas, ECB Bolivia Field Facilitator
Ingrid works to support the planning, implementation and completion of activities developed by the various thematic working groups jobs (Staff Capacity, Accountability, DRR / CCA, Funding, Coordination & Learning). Ingrid also facilitates communication, information and learning sharing for the Consortium locally, regionally and globally, to generate a synergy between Consortium, National Government and the United Nations.
The ECB Project is a place where large humanitarian agencies can work together and coordinate not only between agencies, but also with the UN and our national government. Through sharing experiences, tools and improving our staff capabilities we should be able to develop a much stronger humanitarian system.
Md. Harun or Rashid, ECB Bangladesh Field Facilitator
Harun works to facilitate the planning, implementation and overall management of the activities of ECB Bangladesh consortium. He has driven a number of innovative and successful projects including interagency emergency simulations, translation and related training program for Bangla version of the Good Enough Guide on Accountability and Impact Measurement as well as an advocacy campaign to address the remaining unmet needs of those displaced by Cyclone Aila. Harun has done a wonderful job linking & representing the ECB Project to external sectoral audiences like Sphere, HAP and ALNAP.
ECB is a process of collaboration and new way of working together. By bringing more and more actors together, we can bring greater impact for the disaster affected communities and strengthen the humanitarian system as a whole. The project is very challenging but it offers a huge opportunity for me to contribute and as well as learn.
