The overarching goal of Phase II is to improve the speed, quality, and effectiveness of the humanitarian community to save lives, improve the welfare, and protect the rights of people in emergency situations. Phase II of the ECB Project focuses on creating impact in the field, and putting concepts developed in Phase I into practice. By placing field consortia at the centre of planning and implementation of Project activities, the aim is to accelerate ownership, engagement and impact at the field level.
Phase II of the ECB Project will also result in measurable improvements in organizational capacity of participating agencies to support their field programs in emergency preparedness and response.
Phase II differs from Phase I in that Phase II is designed to create impact in the field and across the humanitarian sector, while Phase I focused on ECB NGO agency capacity.
